Scots Year of Faith events unveiled18 October 2012
The Scottish Bishops have announced a series of initiatives to mark the Year of Faith and the fiftieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council. They include a dedicated website with associated Facebook and Twitter streams, alongside year-long programme of events.
Among these are a St Andrew's Conference at the City Halls in Glasgow on 1 December, which will be addressed on aspects of the new evangelisation by the Archbishop of Glasgow Philip Tartaglia , Cardinal George Pell of Sydney, Australia, and Bishop Arthur Serratelli of New Jersey.
There will be a national Mass in Motherwell on 4 November and a national pilgrimage to the Holy Land in October in 2013.
