Cafod welcomes development goals

The 17 goals – which include commitments aimed at ending poverty, hunger and inequality – replace the Millennium Development Goals.

Neil Thorns from Cafod, who was in New York for the summit, said: “Although the new Sustainable Development Goals are moving in the right direction, they are not a solution to our world’s problems, but a stepping stone that we need to build on in the climate talks in Paris.”
