For the Past five years, Bordeaux has been in the doldrums: some even predicted that the market was near to collapse. But since this year’s annual en primeur tasting of the 2015 vintage, hailed by some as offering the most exciting wines in 40 years, the mood of growers, négociants and merchants alike has changed dramatically. The depth and concentration of the best wines is reported to be as good as if not better than the legendary 2005, 2009 and 2010 vintages.
