Within minutes of midnight a few years ago, my daughter had gone on to the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (Ucas) website to see if she had gained her first or second choice of university. This year’s A-level results will be released on Thursday 18 August and youngsters all over Britain are anxiously waiting to hear how they performed. Stress levels in the house are likely to be high during this time.
As a parent of two children who are now at university, one who is at college and one who will be going through this whole process this month, I have learned how important it is to be prepared for the day the results are released, because there are things that need to be done and considered immediately.
