The Church has long been aware of the power of film so Rome is the perfect venue for the International Catholic Film Festival. Faith in many guises featured in this year’s selection, with stories that were both heartrending and inspiring It may not register on the glamour stakes of Cannes, Venice or Toronto, but when it comes to cardinals on the red carpet, clerical collars over the Bellini cocktails and prayers before the announcements, the International Catholic Film Festival wins all the awards hands down.
