Set the rule-book aside for once


 
The Synod on the Family in October will highlight once again the sharp differences over moral issues between Catholics. While the Church prays for peace between nations, its own members are often bitterly divided, stuck in a deadening clericalism and adherence to rules Our bishop was patient with us.
