Francis is leading the way with a new approach based on empathy and a shared vision of evangelisation Just a few years ago, Evangelicals were routinely described in the Vatican as dangerous Protestant sects, poaching the souls of the faithful in traditional Catholic countries like Brazil and Argentina, a view that was no doubt shared for a time by the future Pope Francis.
