Obituary – Jack Dominian

Jack Dominian was a highly successful clinical psychiatrist, the author of several influential books, a popular lecturer and broadcaster, and a passionate voice in the field of sexuality, marriage and relationships. It is difficult to think of anyone, lay or clergy, who has done more over the past 50 years to transform Catholics’ understanding and appreciation of the value of marriage. Dominian was born to a Roman Catholic father and a Greek Orthodox mother. He was brought up as a Catholic and remembers having a vision of Christ during a childhood illness which left him with “a private passion for Jesus”.
