A major new force emerged in British politics this week when Ukip topped the polls in the Euro elections. Now all three main parties have reason to fear for their future at Westminster One of the most telling comments about Nigel Farage, amid all the bluster that has followed the emergence of the UK Independence Party (Ukip) as a political force for the twenty-first century, came in an attempt by the Prime Minister to put down the man’s characterised image as “a normal bloke down the pub”.
