The “Ban Bossy” campaign, which has spread from the maelstrom of social media into newspapers and television, is different.The idea that the word “bossy” should be banned because it damages girls’ leadership potential did not come from angry parents. Instead, it was the brainchild of Sheryl Sandberg, CEO of Facebook and one of the most powerful women in the world. She was called “bossy” when she was a child.
