The sun was setting in a long, yellow band. This golden line of light grew more and more intense, contrasting gorgeously with the pale blue of the winter afternoon sky. Standing at my window, I couldn’t tear myself away from the sight. Slowly, the gold sank and the blue deepened; then I noticed the sky was already studded with a handful of stars.
