I could feel the mania engulfing me. Admittedly there was 500 miles of despair and exultation already walked exerting its force over me. Only one and a half miles of the Camino de Santiago remained before I’d reach the famed lighthouse of Finisterre and the physical block of the sea, meaning there was no farther to go, and my pilgrimage would be over – but not just my pilgrimage.  

Picking up the pace, I stooped forward to take the strain of the rucksack off my back.
