You haven’t the money to live in this town’08 November 2017 | by John Cosgrove
If they are lucky, when children from our school are evicted from their homes they are temporarily housed on the other side of town and they can continue coming to our school, though it may take them two bus rides. If they are favoured by almost miraculous good fortune, it will only be weeks before they have somewhere semi-permanent to live. Too often, the families who abruptly disappear from our school are rehoused in another town, sometimes in a different county.
