For many, God is elusive if not ineffable, yet there is a way that may draw us nearer to him. The creative arts mark out human civilisation and in their nurture they provide a path to a higher spiritual plane that can connect to the mystery of his presence When was the last time you felt you were in the presence of the divine? That is undoubtedly a very big question. Some years ago, when I was privileged to meet His Holiness Pope John Paul II, I ventured to ask him how many times he felt he had been in the presence of God.
