The heat wasn’t making things any better. In the sweltering city centre cafe, I stared blankly at the laptop screen. Was it two or three weeks’ worth of work I’d just lost, or months’? I stumbled outside. Eyes screwed up against the sunlight dazzling off steel and glass, I wandered despondently through Leeds’ central business district.
Coming to a bench shaded by a tall tree, I sat down.
