Peace between North Korea and the rest of the world, the United States in particular, is devoutly to be prayed for, as Pope Francis did last weekend. And on the face of it, the summit in Singapore between President Donald Trump and Chairman Kim Jong-un was a clear step away from nuclear confrontation rather than, as in recent months, towards it.
