Under the bold headline, “The UK: Strong, Influential, Global”, in chapter two of last November’s “National Security Strategy and Strategic Defence and Security Review 2015”, the Government declared: “The UK plays a strong, positive global role. We project our power, influence and values to help shape a secure, prosperous future for the UK and to build wider security, stability and prosperity.”That word “stability”.
