There seems to me some mental confusion behind the notion that a good press photo is to be had from nuns dressed in habits doing something ordinary like riding a bicycle or shovelling snow. The confusion is to suppose that they are doing something out of role, as if a town mayor worked in a fish-and-chip shop wearing his feathered hat and gold chain. This nun category-error was evident in some election pictures published by The Guardian.
