Pope Francis has done it again – he has gone and given another interview to a secular paper! This time it is with Corriere della Sera, arguably Italy’s most authoritative broadsheet. He told its editor he found all the “myth-making” depicting him as “a sort of superman or star” to be “offensive”. “The Pope is a man that smiles, cries, sleeps peacefully and has friends like anyone else – a normal person,” he said. In fact, he described his election to the papacy as being “transferred” to another diocese.
