But according to Britain’s Benefit Tenants (12 June), two million people now struggle to pay their rent, which means eviction is always waiting in the wings. Grinding poverty, though, provides its own business opportunities. A new breed of letting agent specialises in getting claimants and the intermittently insolvent into homes – and, when necessary, out of homes. Here we followed two busy firms.
