English Touring Opera is the soul of British opera, taking four or more shows on the road on two yearly tours from Truro to Perth, bringing out rarities and standard works with minimum fuss but consistently impressive musical and dramatic standards, usually with way more artistic integrity (and a fraction of the budget and ticket prices) of Covent Garden and ENO.
