Scents of the souk
The great merit of Peter White’s enthusiasm is that it is so obviously unfeigned. Whether set down in the City of London’s Square Mile, or in Morocco, where this two-part series began (21 June), he is clearly having a whale of a time exploring the locales, cuisines and customs. Not only that, but his blindness gives a clarity to the non-visual reportage that a sighted traveller might struggle to achieve.
