The great merit of Peter White’s enthusiasm is that it is so obviously unfeigned. Whether set down in the City of London’s Square Mile, or in Morocco, where this two-part series began (21 June), he is clearly having a whale of a time exploring the locales, cuisines and customs. Not only that, but his blindness gives a clarity to the non-visual reportage that a sighted traveller might struggle to achieve.
