Money, privilege, class, a particular aristocratic loucheness – these are what have given the tragic tale of the Earl of Lucan its grip for all these decades.
Watching ITV’s interview with Lady Lucan, now 80, was a reminder of a world that in style and habit seemed not so different from our own and yet where delineations of class seemed still as sharply cut as they had been for Edwardians.
